Itinerary

DAY 1 – North Vancouver to Whistler.

This morning, you areQ welcomed on board for one of the most exciting train journeys into the Canadian Rockies, the Rainforest to Goldrush.   Get settled for some real panoramic views as your train winds its way up the Horseshoe Bay and the fjords of the Howe Sound. Your train will glide along snow capped mountains, cliffs & cascading waterfalls and past the rushing waters of the Cheakamus River as your train makes its way to the adventure capital of the great white north, Canada. 

Overnight in Whistler, BC.

DAY 2 – Whistler to Quesnel.

Leaving Whistler this morning, your Rocky Mountaineer train will ride up the Pemberton Valley. The journey offers magnificent views of Lillooet River and quaint little village of Pemberton, nicely tucked into the Coast Mountains. A few miles ahead on this offbeat track, the journey offers you enticing views of Lake Anderson and Lake Seton, views that nmake you feel will make you feel your are almost in paradise. As your train chugs further North the screnary will once again switch over to a completely different landscape with turquoise green lakes on one side and sheer cliffs on the other side. As you relish beauty of the region, your train will glides into ranchland near Quesnel, located on the confluence of Quesnel and Fraser River and referred to as Canada’s Goldrush Capital.

DAY 3 – Quesnel to Jasper.

After a nice and restful night in Quesnel, this morning you will continue your journey continues eastwards today into the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park.  Departing Quesnel the Rocky Mountaineer runs along the Fraser River north to the town of Prince George, then travels east through the forests of northern British Columbia. This part of the journey is  home to plentiful wildlife, including a large population of moose and changes of wildlife spotting is excellent.  Keep your camera ready.  .Entering the Rocky Mountain Trench, you are surrounded to the north by the steeply rising Rocky Mountains and to the south by the Cariboo Mountains.  Your train continues climbing past  Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and through the Yellowhead Pass into the province of Alberta.  Your Rocky Mountaineer Rail tour ends today on arrival in Jasper.
